"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them."
Calming the mind can be made more accessible through movement of the body. Moving the body can help us shed unhealthy thoughts, causing muscular tension, physical dis-ease, and emotional stress. Can you allow your Self the opportunity to experience both movement of the body and breath as we channel your energies to help loosen built up tension, stress and anxieties? We offer strategies to implement and utilize in order to help you slow down, notice, and develop a sense of body awareness on a somatic level, in a safe space.
Lily's Loft offers a safe place to shed layers and be open to receive balance and inner stillness. Each session begins with a complimentary and optional foot bath with personal choice of essential oils. Enjoy a cup of tea as we sit and talk about you and your individual needs. Each session will vary depending on where you are in your journey, emotionally and physically. The choice belongs to you. Release muscular tension through targeted stretches, explore balance, find stillness in meditation, or head straight to the reiki. Think of it as a design your own session...whatever you need on that particular day/time.
Lily's Loft is dedicated to Marybeth's mom. Lillian always made everyone she met feel important and noticed whether they were a professor at the college she taught or the grounds keeper. A story Marybeth loves sharing is when her mom was walking to her office when she stopped to talk with a gentleman in charge of planting flowers. She said to him, "Oh, so YOU are the person who makes this campus look so beautiful!" Undoubtedly, she helped him feel a part of something bigger, a necessary component of the whole. Marybeth continues to strive to have each of you to feel noticed, heard, and understood... as we are all a part of the whole.
"Sometimes I feel lost," said the boy. "Me too," said the mole,
"but we love you, and love brings you home."
"I think everyone is just trying to get home." said the mole
